Huge thank you to the people that keep the sport going, affectionately known as the ‘Mongrel Marshals’. This is due to the wonderful Mongrel Boots that sponsor our Marshals and give away a pair at every round and have supplied gear to keep our marshals seen, safe and warm.Through the trying conditions over the weekend, they never gave up on us to allow us to do what we love. Thank you.The first race meeting without a key member of this great team, Gary Plows. I know he was looking down on us over the weekend and kept us safe. Miss ya buddy.See you October 12 and 13. ... Was nice and non stressful for win for Nick. But a closer fight next time will be great. Team Queensland 2ndTeam Victoria 3rdTeam SA 4thTeam WA 5thIt was brilliant to see a great spread of states represented across the event and hope to see the State Controlling Bodies get behind the event next year and support their State Champions to come race and have a clash of the champions…Thank you Troy Bayliss for supporting the event and putting your name to the cup that will become a Cup that is much desired by the State Controlling Bodies..Motorcycling NSW - better clear a spot in the Trophy Cabinet. What a weekend at the Motul Southern Cross Challenge Cup.Weather was testing with the odd shower adding more excitement to the weekend battles. So great to have Troy Corser track side for the presentation of the Motorcycle Road Race League winning trophy named after the champion.3rd place was PCRA, 2nd place was the St George Motorcycle Club Winners being the BEARS Motorcycle Club. With the BEARS playing their Joker in the 2nd last round of the weekend giving them a lead into the last race. This giving the opportunity for St George to play there Joker in the last race as they were behind on points. The end result seeing BEARS winning by 12 points across the whole weekend. Such an epic battle between all the clubs and believe it has found its place on the calendar and hope to see it grow and travel the country reigniting the interclub championships.11 clubs represented across the league, great showing. Thanks to all the racers, crew, spectators and out Mongrel Boots sponsored marshals known as the Mongrel Marshals for braving the weird weather across the weekend.None of this would have been possible without the St George MCC Events team and the board.Hug thanks to our partners that have made this event that little bit more special with the fantastic support.Pleanty more reports and reviews to come….Well done OZ BEARS RACING - target on your back now for the 2025 Southern Cross Challenge Cup.Photo: Troy Corser 11 and Mark McGregor representing the BEARS.Motul PirelliMoto AMA Warehouse AGV Helmets Australia Shark Motorcycle Leathers & Accessories Five Advanced Gloves Michelin Motorcycle Sydney Motorsport Park Michelin MT Helmets- Australia Falco Motorcycle Boots Motorcycling NSW Airoh Helmet Kabuto/オージーケーカブト Billetta Sales Lightech Racing SPARK Exhaust Technology Australian Racing Drivers' Club ...
